Dorridge Park (46mins, 1993)
The film that took just 3 months to make! (What do you mean it's not hard to see why?)
When archaeologists Dr Tennant (Stuart Busby) and Dr Lowe (Neal Harris) are made an offer they
can't refuse from the enigmatic Professor Hammond (Mathew Joiner), it takes them on a journey
of discovery and danger they will never forget.
Also starring Ben and Matthew Dolphin, Matthew Frost, Richard Fryer, Matt Golsby, John Miller,
Claire Perry and Rod Singles. Written, produced and directed by Mat Dolphin.
AMAZING FACTS - The dinosaur in Dorridge Park was not real but was in fact a large
inflatable promotional aid sent to Tesco by PG Tips in 1993. It was borrowed for the good of
the British film industry and retained for the all-important sequel in 1998. Dorridge Park
was made as a one-off joke following the cinematic release of a blockbuster about dinosaurs.
After its premiere at Tesco Solihull, it was clear that the public wanted more! Matt Golsby
won an award for his sex scene, and years later became a masseur. By 2003, Mat Joiner had taken a turn for the worst - as these frightening pictures from the tenth anniversary party demonstrate. For 2006, the original footage was digitally recaptured in preparation for a DVD special edition.
