How do magnificent props
get built in today's modern cinema world? inside a computer - that's how.
Editor Christian Lett stares at a blank screen, with finger poised, waiting for
something to happen.

Impact Day is an epic blockbuster spanning three continents and
beyond. Due to a stressful schedule, the main cast would frequently walk out.
This resulted in over a thousand stand-ins and body doubles, who also walked
out. This is a body double for Matt King, walking out.

We don't just take the
first person we can find and stick them in front of a camera. Oh no! To appear
in a film of such magnitude takes years of professional training. Just take a
look at the intense rehearsals going on here. From left to right - Matt
Bowdler, Ben Manning, Matt Golsby, James Chattaway.

Filming may be fun, but
it's important not to forget those people less fortunate than ourselves, who
are out there making films too. Mat Dolphin and John Miller take time out to
record the Impact Day charity single - 'rocket to your soul'.

The crew may be experts but
even they can't specialise in everything. Some of the props required expert
handlers - like this one. Happy to provide his expertise for free, he modestly
decided to remain anonymous.

Filming took place on a shoestring. The budgetary restraints got so
bad that they even hit rehearsals. Here, Mat Joiner is forced to vacate his
regular bus stop due to cut backs. A true professional, he didn't let it affect
his performance. That's right - it was still awful!

Security on the filming is tight. Sadly though, as with any
organisation, there were one or two breaches. Here, a group of gypsies camp
down for the night on the flight deck. They were swiftly removed, six months
later.

Well that's it for now. Come back soon for more essential behind
the scenes info!
