Starring Richard Fryer, Tony Fryer and Matthew Dolphin.

Matthew is on holiday with the Fryer family, when he meets a hysterical youngster. The boy claims that his friends vanished in the hotel swimming pool on the day they were supposed to go home. Later a creature is discovered living in the pool, which soon gets bored of waiting for feeding and makes its way into the hotel.

At the last minute the creature is stopped in its tracks by Richard Fryer, who has borrowed a tank from a military exhibition.

AMAZING FACTS - this story was written while genuinely on holiday in Bude, and features many of the hotel guests and locations. One picture shows Matthew Dolphin drawing the cartoon story 'within the story'. The final page was finished on the last day of the holiday, while impatient hotel guests were waiting in the bar to read the ending!
